Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 May 2026
Pesca is a fishing-journal app that keeps your catches, locations and statistics private. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over your data.
What we collect
Account data: email, password (encrypted), full name (optional), profile photo (optional). All provided directly by you at sign-up.
Catches: species, size, bait, technique, date/time, notes, released/kept, photos. All entered manually by you.
GPS location when you save a catch or favourite spot. We only access location when you explicitly request it (tap GPS button or location search).
Weather snapshot at the moment of a catch (temperature, pressure, wind, moon phase) — fetched automatically from OpenWeatherMap based on coordinates.
How we use your data
Data is used solely to render your own journal: catches, statistics, map, calendar, personalised tips. We never sell or share data with third parties for advertising.
We use Supabase (Postgres + Auth + Storage) for data storage and OpenWeatherMap for weather. No third-party trackers (analytics, ads).
Storage and security
Data is stored on Supabase servers (EU region) with at-rest encryption and TLS in transit. Photos sit in a private bucket — accessed only via signed URLs that expire.
Data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, all data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Your rights (GDPR)
- Right to access: you can see all of your data in-app at any time.
- Right to deletion: delete your account from Profile → Delete account. All associated data is removed automatically.
- Right to portability: export all of your data as JSON from Profile → Export my data.
